AGITLEE turns digital piles of genealogical data buried in Excel spreadsheets and liberates them for the world to search.
Are you a library struggling to publish your genealogical collection in a cost-effective way?
Are you a genealogical society whose volunteers have amassed an inventory of cemetery readings, but you have no way to get them online without paying for custom programming?
Are you a library who thinks generating genealogical content will help you meet the demands of your patrons/customers and increase your importance to the community?
Then AGITLEE can help!
AGITLEE has two main sets of features:
Data ingest based on Excel
Customer or patron-facing searches
The data ingest engine lets you take an Excel spreadsheet, enter meta data about it, and publish it. The sheet can have from 1 to 10,000 rows of data. You can customize the column headings and you can tweak the data after it's been uploaded.
The search engine lets you search all collections at a single time by surname/firstname (fuzzy or exact match). It also lets you search the collection meta data for a specific collection. Finally, it lets you browse all collections.
The data ingest features are available only to your staff through the use of IDs. AGITLEE includes full auditing and error logging so you can be sure the system's performing as it should.
The search features mentioned earlier are available to the public. You don't need to hand out IDs to your customers or patrons.
Each collection gets its own unique identification, so if you'd like to integrate the search features into your existing website, you can! AGITLEE's documentation explains how.
